Pizza in a Dish

Ingredients:
2 cups macaroni
1 pkg pepperoni
1 lb ground beef
1 onion finely chopped
1 15 oz can of pizza sauce
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1/2 tsp sugar
1/8 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp garlic salt
2 cups mozzarella
1 Tbs parmesan

Cook the macaroni. Cut pepperoni in quarters. Cook ground beef and onion and drain. Stir everything together except cheese. Spoon half of mixture into dish; add half cheese. Repeat. Sprinkle with parmesan and rest of pepperoni.

Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 30-40 minutes.

Definitely a family weeknight favorite! All 3 of my boys were all smiles over this hearty dish! Clay's Aunt Kathi shared this recipe with me awhile back and I was excited to finally get to try it tonight. Parker enjoyed getting to dump the pepperoni, seasonings and sauces into the bowl and then mixing it all together.

Give it a try! Your kids will love it!

our Sunday afternoon

A lesson learned the hard way...(yes, if daddy tells you to stop kicking the seat or he's going to pull the car over so you can walk home and you disobey again, don't be surprised when he pulls the car over and you walk the rest of the way home.)

Roast, potatoes, carrots and peas for Sunday lunch...

Lots of playtime outdoors crawling around in the grass for this little fellow...

A campfire complete with smores...

First daddy and son campout in the backyard...(I couldn't believe Parker actually made it through the whole night outside, but both guys finally passed out at 10:30.)
We are taking advantage of the final days of summer and trying to spend as much time as possible outside!

What are some of the things you and your family like to do on Sunday afternooons and evenings during the summer months?

My hopes for him...

I hope that you always find joy in the little things...

I hope you never let obstacles get in the way of achieving your dreams...

I hope you will continue to smile within, even in the face of adversity...

I hope you always know how special and loved you are...and that you will love others...

I hope you will always be curious to learn as you are now...

I hope and pray that you always trust in the Lord first and have faith and belief in the things you might not see everyday...

I love you Cooper. You make your daddy and I so very proud.

Suppertime with these two...

Lately, suppertime has been even more exciting than usual.
These two are quite the little characters. ;)

Most nights at some point during supper one of the two will crack the other one up; they then both start giggling and don't stop until food is going into the mouth.

Pictures taken on August 9, 2011.

It's fun. What a pair they will be some day...and what a pair they are now!
